Job description

THE POSITION
We are expanding and looking for a highly motivated Head of Product Marketing (B2B)/ Senior Product Marketing Manager (m/f) to actively support our team in our Munich office.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for crafting the messaging and positioning for our products. As such, you will be working closely with the departments of product management, sales, marketing and strategy. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical features into business benefits is crucial.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • researching the payment market to understand prospective customers’ needs, our competitors, and market trends
  • benchmarking of competitor product offerings vs. optile's
  • developing marketing messaging to differentiate optile products in the payment market
  • creating a value proposition to effectively communicate product benefits by marketing and sales
  • building sales tools (Product Battle Cards, Napkin Pitch, Product Papers) and marketing tools (product webinars, web, social, print) for different target groups to support the sales process
  • supporting creation of trainings and educational content in collaboration with Support
  • driving products/features launches together with product management, sales and marketing departments
  • aligning marketing and sales regularly to ensure delivery of the common message and positioning across the target markets

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • technical background and affinity for good engineering
  • good understanding of finance and/or the tech sector
  • native English speaker (or C2 level)
  • very strong written communication skills
  • practical knowledge in technical writing
  • experience in product management and/or marketing
  • a hands-on, startup, and team player attitude
  • proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

DESIRED SKILLS

  • fluent in payment terminology
  • good German communication skills
  • experience with B2B marketing
  • potential to lead a growing team of product marketing managers
  • experience in international environments
